Health Quest, Inc., has been an American Heart Association training center for over 30 years specializing in providing high quality CPR, AED and First Aid Courses in full compliance with American Heart Association standards. We service south central Pennsylvania, central Maryland, including Baltimore City, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Carroll and Frederick Counties. We meet the needs of office-based physicians, corporations, community organizations, and individuals in search of health education. We will work with you to decide which course best suits your needs. Our instructors are engaging and well-prepared, and we ensure that your educational experience will be of the highest quality.

Blended Learning
The American Heart Association and Health Quest also offer the option of completing your CPR or First Aid certification via a combination of online and in person testing. You take the online portion at the American Heart Association site and then scheduling a manikin skills check with Health Quest. Times and locations for skills checks vary and are subject to change so please call so Health Quest can accommodate your needs and schedule.
BLS for Providers and Heartsaver Skills Sessions
BLS for Providers and Heartsaver Skills Sessions are scheduled at your convenience. They about take about an hour. Please call the Health Quest office at 410-988-9441 to schedule your session time. This is not a class and the Heartcode BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED and/or First Aid online portion must be done before the skills session. Go to http://elearning.heart.org to complete the online portion, call Health Quest and schedule your skills check to receive your certification card.
Basic Life Support for Providers Class
The Basic Life Support for Providers class follows the most recent American Heart Associations standards. This class includes Adult CPR, one and two rescuer, Pediatric CPR, use of pocket masks, bag mask devices, AED, techniques for removing foreign body airway obstruction, team dynamics, and aspects of prudent heart living. Certification will be awarded upon demonstration of manikin skills and completion of a 25 question multiple-choice exam. A two-year card is awarded upon completion of this course.

Heartsaver CPR/AED Class
The Heartsaver CPR/AED class provides current American Heart Association standards for guidelines and training for public access defibrillation. The course includes: importance of calling 911, retrieving the AED, starting CPR, and performing early defibrillation. Participants will learn to recognize and respond to heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and choking. Successful completion of this program is determined by successful demonstration of manikin skills and safe defibrillation with an AED. A two-year card is awarded upon completion of this course.

Heartsaver First Aid Class
The Heartsaver First Aid class includes, but is not limited to, the following topics: Shock, Bleeding, Fractures, Burns, Seizures, Amputation, Head, Injury, Heat, Stroke, Sprains, Lyme Disease, Insect Bites & Stings. A two- year card is awarded upon completion of this course. Health Quest does not offer and community First Aid classes but can schedule a class for your group at a time and place of your choosing or we can offer the skills check portion of the American Heart Association’s blended learning option for individuals.
Friends and Family Program
The Friends and Family program provides current American Heart Association standards for guidelines and training for public access defibrillation. The course includes: importance of calling 911, retrieving the AED, starting CPR, and performing early defibrillation. Participants will learn to recognize and respond to heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and choking using the AHA chain of survival for adults, children and infants. This class is an introduction to CPR designed for people of all ages and does not include a certification card. This class can be tailored to your needs.
